we at bebop consider the bebop pedal design to be a major advance in the evolution of the bicycle. but it is subject to one of our favorite engineering sayings -- "strong, light, cheap -- pick any two." in other words, design means compromise, and maximizing all three qualities is generally considered impossible. the bebop pedal system is the lightest steel-spindle system out there. and it is incredibly strong. but with SPD clones selling for well under a hundred bucks a pair, it ain't especially cheap.

so mr. bebop put his thinking cap on, and came up with a pedal design that just might break that rule -- the trio. it isn't quite ready yet, but it should be available soon.
